When the Republic became the Empire, Krennic became the Director of Advanced Weapons Research of the Imperial Military. He was one of the key men responsible for the Death Star project. He first served as a Lieutenant Commander for the Republic in the Republic Corps of Engineers during the Clone Wars and later the Republic Special Weapons Group. – Krennic, played by Ben Mendelsohn, first appeared in Catalyst, as well. It may remind you of the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, which first appeared in Return of the Jedi.
– Director Orson Krennic‘s ship is a Delta-class T-3c shuttle and it’s used as a transport by the Empire. The first was in the Rogue Onetie-in novel, Catalyst, by James Luceno. – That planet is called Lah’mu, and it’s actually its second appearance in Star Wars. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the scientists who helped develop the atom bomb. – Rogue One was originally called “Destroyer of Worlds” when it was first pitched by ILM’s John Knoll. – The title of the film itself is a callback to the callsign of the leader of Rogue Squadron, the elite starfighter unit of the Rebellion, and later the New Republic. It does however have the classic opening line, “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.” The opening crawl is a classic trademark of Star Warsstorytelling, providing background information and setting up the first scene of the movie.

Thank Yoda these weren’t deleted: The 20 greatest Jedi moments in Star Wars history.Again, we can’t stress enough that there are MAJOR SPOILERS for Star Wars: Rogue One in this article. This bit (which sounds more like a feature and less like a deleted scene, I must say) may actually help you buy into the casino planet a little more. Look, if you weren’t into Canto Bight, what can I say? It was pretty fun, if completely out-of-sync with the rest of the movie. The Costumes And Creatures of Canto Bight Bonus points if we get Chewie grumpily batting away Rey’s hand for pressing the wrong button. This will connect the dots between Rey just showing up on Crait and actually deciding to go and save the day. Neither of these characters really ‘belong’ in the action-packed Resistance filled with heroes… so where could they be headed? It’s probably the most mysterious-sounding of these deleted scenes, though. I’d be surprised if this isn’t another Canto Bight sequence. What? Ok, ok, it’s going to more than likely be a Finn boast after besting Captain Phasma but, still, what? The Stormtroopers had a bit more of a personality this time around – isn’t it about time that Rose got her own back on a few of them for, y’know, trying to execute her (and killing her sister)? Probably another one on-board The Supremacy. The actual sequence in the movie definitely felt a little clipped, so it’s nice that we’ll get a little more of the spy/espionage stuff that Star Wars does so well. This sure sounds like something to do with Finn, Rose, and DJ’s mission onto Snoke’s The Supremacy.
Mega Destroyer Incursion – Extended Version Fathiers are those weird space-horse thingies on Canto Bight and we’ll be seeing more of them, Finn and Rose outrunning the law. The Caretakers are in the background having a nice little party, bless ‘em.
(opens in new tab) Rey lectures Luke after sending her through some training. Ok, we’ve probably already seen this one.
Rey constantly (accidentally) annoying The Caretakers on Ahch-To during the movie was a great running joke – and we might be seeing more of it. One of the more under-appreciated aspects of The Last Jedi was the comedy.
